Who are you?

  • You have 1-3 years of experience in the private sector, preferably in areas like market/business development or client relations.
  • You hold a post-secondary degree in Business Administration or Commerce (a combination of education and experience may be considered).
  • You're passionate about growing New Brunswick's economy and understand international business practices, especially around exporting.
  • You're a self-starter who thrives on results and values autonomy.
  • You bring fresh ideas, love solving problems, and contribute positively to a team.
  • You work hard, bring a positive attitude, and enjoy team comradery.
  • Bonus points if you:
    • Know New Brunswick's business landscape
    • Have market research or project management experience
    • Have experience using Salesforce or similar CRM systems

As an Export Development Associate at ONB, you will:

  • Report to the Director of Export Development and help New Brunswick exporters grow and access new markets.
  • Support execution of market development activities, such as trade missions, by coordinating logistics and working with internal and external partners.
  • Prepare contracts, project-based statements of work, and internal briefing materials.
  • Build and maintain accurate data in Salesforce; generate reports and monitor KPIs related to export development.
  • Collaborate with the Salesforce team to optimize tracking and reporting systems.
  • Prepare company profiles, briefing notes, and event materials in line with ONB branding standards.
  • Coordinate special projects- development and execution
  • Manage invoices, track related expenses, and coordinate with finance.
  • Support the Export Development team with administrative tasks, such as email outreach, exit surveys, and other internal requests.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with Canada's Trade Commissioners, ONB partners, and in-market consultants.

Language:

Written and spoken competence in English is required. Please state your language capability.

Location and hours:

This position is located in Fredericton. The successful candidate is required to travel both domestically and internationally and work beyond normal business hours (8:15 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.).
