JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Assistant Vice-President of Human Resources, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing, planning, and coordinating strategic human resources management consulting services across the various zones of Vitalité Health Network. They will be responsible for managing labour relations, litigation cases, complaints, and remuneration.

Acting as the employer's representative, the incumbent will carry out various mandates aimed at maintaining a healthy and positive work environment, by rigorously applying current policies, procedures and working conditions. They will play an influential role in advising managers on all aspects of human resources management.

They will directly supervise business partners, the legal advisor, and the team responsible for informal conflict management. They will work closely with other human resources directors and management across the Network.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Undergraduate degree in industrial relations or human resources management;
  • Master's degree in industrial relations or human resources management (significant asset);
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in human resources, including at least five years in a management position;
  • Experience in a unionized workplace;
  • In-depth knowledge of human resources management;
  • Excellent command of applicable HR laws and standards;
  • Expertise in negotiation, managing collective agreements, and handling grievances;
  • Experience in complaint management;
  • Ability to analyze issues and make decisions from a global organizational perspective, taking risks into account;
  • Ability to solve complex problems by carefully and systematically evaluating information, alternatives, and consequences;
  • Excellent judgment, ability to prioritize, sense of urgency, and respect for deadlines;
  • Humility, managerial courage and the ability to work under pressure;
  • High adaptability and energy levels;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Physical ability to perform job-related tasks;
  • Good work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethics principles, the Network's management philosophy and organizational values;
  • Adherence to Vitalité Health Network's confidentiality rules.
