STAFF DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR
The R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home is seeking a Staff Development Coordinator that has self-leadership style, is energetic, and enjoys the company of seniors living in long term care! Our Home is nationally accredited and serves 136 residents and their families and employs approximately 285 staff.
Reporting to the CEO, the Staff Development Coordinator is accountable to promote, oversee and facilitate educational programs and the accreditation processes, ensuring they align with the R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home's Mission, Vision, Core Values, and comply with licensing and accreditation regulations and standards. This dynamic role involves managing staff educational requirements, accreditation leadership, organizing staff training, and networking with external agencies providing educational opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the provision of Education / Accreditation Services
- Ensure the orientation and ongoing education of all staff of the Home
- Leads Accreditation Teams in achieving Accreditation Standards
- Safe Work Practices/Responsibilities: To achieve these expectations employees at all levels of the organization must adhere to Core Values of Safety and Safety Responsibilities
Education: Master's in Adult Education or a related field
Experience: in Long Term Care an asset
Experience: in the Accreditation Canada process an asset

Hours of Work: Non-union Regular Full-time (FTE 80hrs/biweekly) hours to flex as required.
Salary: Competitive Salary to commensurate with education and experience (salary range is $65,000 - $75,000.00 per annum)
