What you'll be doing
Reporting to the Principal, Lunenburg Campus as the Academic Chair for the School of Health and Human Services, and the School of Business and Creative Industries, you will:
- Lead the delivery of Practical Nursing, Continuing Care Assistant, Occupational Therapy Assistant/Physiotherapy Assistant, Disability Supports and Services, Therapeutic Recreation, Business Administration, Medical Office Administration programs at the Campus ensuring the highest standard of quality and consistency in programing while supporting student success.
- Be a key member of Lunenburg Campus and School teams. Campuses and Schools share accountability for ensuring a quality-learning environment and a cohesive campus team.
- Use your established relationships in the health and business sectors regionally and locally to inform programming and opportunities for students.
Your strategic and operational leadership is key to ensuring the objectives of programs offered by NSCC are met through efficient and effective management of all fiscal and human resources, while endorsing the application of adult education principles and portfolio learning, within a safe work environment, and portfolio learning in a learning-centered college.

Qualifications and Occupational Experience:
- The minimum educational qualification for this position is an undergraduate degree in a field related to the School of Health & Human Services or the School of Business and Creative Industries. A Graduate Degree would be considered an asset.
- You have a minimum of 7 years (full-time equivalent) of recent and progressive occupational experience in a field related to one or both of the Schools. You have a minimum of five years in a formal supervisory, management or leadership role. Experience in your field includes formal teaching at a post-secondary level.
- You have occupational experience that includes managing in a unionized environment would be considered an asset.
- You are familiar with and comfortable using computer applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite, E-mail, Experience with Brightspace, PeopleSoft & Cognos would be considered an asset.
- You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology; and you are committed to using technology to create an exceptional student experience.
- You have experience in training/facilitation preparation, delivery and evaluation
