MFC Training is currently looking for a Student Learning and Training Manager to join our team in London, Ontario!
The Student Learning and Training Manager oversees the progress of each class, from orientation to graduation and coordinates with multiple departments to ensure the successful completion of the program for each student.
Our Operations:
- MFC Training is a Transport Canadian Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO), carrying out recurring inspections, line maintenance, and heavy maintenance checks;
- MFC Training currently maintains a fleet of various training aircraft; and
- Offers a great learning environment where you will touch on almost every aspect of aircraft maintenance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain required trackers to view each class's progress
- Daily communication and decision making based on cancellations, exam results, absenteeism, inappropriate behavior, schedule conflicts
- Mentor students throughout training as required
- Meet with individual students and instructors to discuss concerns, licensing requirements, and timelines
- Manage student discipline and communicating with parents as necessary
- Issue Cease Training warnings and Cease Training letters when required
- Provide guidance to instructors related to licencing, scheduling, and communicating with students
- Report concerns to the Chief Flight Instructor, Assistant Chief Flight Instructor, and Standards department when related to training syllabus or safety
- Confirm student application file are complete in accordance with MFC and Transport Canada regulations
- Provide guidance with regards to medicals, language, proof of secondary school, and finances
- Liaise with the University for the success of the program along with the management of student orientation
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills:
- 1+ year experience working with a Flight School considered an asset
- Administrative experience is required
- Management experience considered an asset
- Must possess strong interpersonal, organization, problem solving and communication skills
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a security clearance
