As the service provider for Prince Edward Island, we're looking for Medical First Responders for Special Event Coverage who are committed to the delivery of innovative services through knowledgeable and caring professionals.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Medical First Responder (MFR) is responsible for providing immediate first aid treatment and extrication of sick and injured individuals on an event site to appropriate medical care, and assisting with the on-going care of the patient within the medical treatment area as may be required. The MFR liaise with allied agencies to collect and provide relevant information, complete required documentation, participate in mandatory training, maintain a state of readiness for all equipment and supplies, stations, and other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager or Supervisor. The MFR will assist Island EMS operations for the Summer months including medical support for festivals, concerts and community programs. This position will end in September 2025.
Due to the nature of operating in the public eye, a high level of professionalism, communication, and knowledge is always expected. The MFR is required to conduct themselves in a safe and discreet manner, with the responsibility of conduct justification to patients, family members, hospitals staff, management, public agencies, legal court, and more.

Application Requirements:
- Minimum completion of year one (1) of an Accredited Primary Care Paramedicine Program or an approved Medical First Responder Program
- Current Resume and Cover Letter
- Valid/current CPR card - BLS Level
- Criminal Records check with vulnerable sector; issued within the last 60 days
- Confirmation of HEP. B vaccination
- Additional training and/or education will be considered
- Must be available to work 12 Hour shifts including nights, weekends and holidays as required
Knowledge / Skills:
- Thorough working knowledge of the MFR Scope of Practice
- Emotional stability, good dexterity, good general health and physical coordination;
- Effective oral and written communications;
- Possesses interpersonal skills in dealing with people and working in teams.
Salary:
Casual status; $20.00 hourly
