The Associate, Business Controls' primary duties is to manage the review and tracking of all ticket requests and purchases, ensuring all are within the policies and guidelines outlined in the Dynamic Funds Sales Practices Policy. The Associate will be a subject matter expert for all business promotional activities and provide professional and timely support to the Dynamic Funds group in processing requests. In their execution, the Associate, Business Controls is to act independently within approved project guidelines and department and Bank policies.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Manage the Centralized Office of Ticket Management which involves pre-approval, ticket purchasing, ticket disbursement, tracking, and post approval
  • Maintain and enhance trackers for monitoring ticket purchases and assignments, with a focus on reporting and analytics
  • Ensure adherence to key controls and support the identification and implementation of process and system improvements
  • Document procedures and assist with training other team members and business partners on new or existing functions
  • Identify gaps in existing processes to boost operational efficiencies and accuracy using existing and new tools such as but not limited to Excel Pivot Tables, SharePoint, and Salesforce
  • Coordinate with the Dynamic Sales team to acquire and compile any missing documents, as well as track and follow up on outstanding requests
  • Complete expense reviews to ensure all spending is within policy limits
  • Prepare and lead monthly meetings with the Dynamic Sales Team
  • Co-ordinate and prioritize several concurrent projects by undertaking ad-hoc tasks as delegated, contributing to the daily Business Control activities that support the Business line

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Post-Secondary degree
  • Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry is an asset
  • Knowledge of Ontario Security Commission regulatory requirements around National Instrument 81-105 is an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis in MS Excel and pivot tables
  • Experience with CRM and Business intelligence tools an asset
  • Bilingual (French/English) is considered an asset
  • Strong organizational skills to co-ordinate and prioritize several concurrent projects
  • The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills that facilitate a positive and effective working environment
  • A proven track record of meeting deliverables
  • The ability to work as both a team member and independently with general oversight
  • High motivation, are independent and results-oriented
  • A high attention to detail
