JOB SUMMARY:

Food and Nutrition Services and Environmental Services are essential support services for the delivery of safe, quality care. Reporting to the Corporate Director of Infrastructure, the successful candidate will provide strategic and operational leadership for Food and Nutrition Services and Environmental Services across Vitalité Health Network. This person will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing services in line with the Provincial Health Plan and the Network's strategic plan. This will include implementing best practices, managing performance and quality, and overseeing human, financial, and material resources. The position also involves an active role in training, risk management, research, and continuous improvement. Depending on operational needs, the incumbent may be assigned various mandates, including the development, implementation, and maintenance of standardized processes across the Network. The incumbent will also be required to supervise employees in different geographic areas. Frequent travel within the Network will be required to provide direct support to managers and colleagues responsible for files in other zones.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in health sciences or other relevant field;
  • Master's degree in health services management or administration (asset);
  • Minimum of five years of progressive experience in management in the health care sector, ideally at a regional or multi-site level;
  • Minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in the health care field;
  • Any equivalent combination of relevant training and experience will be considered;
  • Proficiency in oral and written French and English;
  • Demonstrated transformational leadership and ability to thrive in a constantly changing environment;
  • Strategic skills, collaborative approach, and sense of innovation;
  • Excellent ability to manage priorities, meet objectives and handle several projects simultaneously;
  • Solid experience in human, material, financial, and information resource management;
  • Marked aptitude for problem solving, planning, and program development and evaluation;
  • Strong analytical, writing, and synthesizing skills;
  • Excellent communication, writing, interpersonal and coaching skills;
  • Strong command of the computer tools used within the Network (Microsoft 365, Meditech, etc.);
  • In-depth knowledge of standards and laws governing clinical information management and the confidentiality of personal health information;
  • Valid driver's licence and availability to travel within the province;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Physical ability to perform the assigned work;
  • Good work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethical principles, the Network's management philosophy, and organizational values;
  • Compliance with the rules of confidentiality set by Vitalité Health Network.
