The Point Lepreau Nuclear Generating Station is currently seeking a Cost Estimator to join the Projects Services group. The Cost Estimator provides valuable support in project estimates to permit better project management decision making on required cost, schedule and risk mitigation plans to maintain project delivery.
Key functions include:
• Preparing detailed estimates of project costs based on project scope of work and engineered drawings, contributing to the on-time and on-budget delivery of multi-million-dollar capital projects, including both civil, structural, mechanical and electrical work.
• Performing earned value analysis to support project management and executive reporting, including the development of improved processes for linking Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) costs and project schedules
• Develop and maintain project estimating procedures, guides, and templates that are aligned with NB Power and industry best practices.
Our ideal teammate will have:
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering and 6 years of related experience
Or
• Diploma in Engineering Technology and 8 years of related experience
An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.
Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be modified.
Due to security requirements at a Canadian Nuclear facilities, the successful candidate will require a CSIS Level I Clearance which includes verification of background information, references, a Criminal Record Name Check and a Canadian Security Intelligence Service security recommendation.
