The Office of the Consumer Advocate for Insurance is seeking a duly qualified and dynamic individual to join the office as an Assistant Consumer Advocate.
The Office of the Consumer Advocate for Insurance has the responsibility to respond to requests for information with respect to insurance and to carry out investigations as a result of complaints received from consumers. The office also has the responsibility to develop and conduct educational programs with respect to insurance for the purpose of educating consumers.
As a member of the team, the successful candidate will be responsible to respond to requests from consumers with respect to insurance; assist consumers with their questions, concerns or complaints regarding any type or insurance.
Essential Qualifications
- Fully licensed in the field of claim adjusting (level 3 license)
- A minimum of ten (10) years of related work experience in the field of insurance.
- General knowledge and pertinent experience in the insurance field.
- Ability to work alone and/or part of a team.
- Excellent abilities in communication and in interpersonal relations along with good work attendance.
Superior written and verbal competence in English and French is required and the ability to communicate effectively in both official languages. Please state your language capability on your application.

Salary
$76,622 – $101,920 annually, depending on education and experience.
