PAL Aerospace is currently seeking a Junior Financial Analyst to join our team in St. John's, NL.

The Junior Financial Analyst will support the PAL Aerospace Finance team by extracting data and information found in PAL systems.

Using this information and working within the finance team on site at St. John's, you will be preparing analysis and various reports for stakeholders. Your analysis will support various financial reports including profit and loss, budgets, and forecasts. As a member of the broader finance team your analysis will be part of business decisions, key performance indicators, and business metrics.

The successful candidate would require a background in accounting including preparation of journal entries and experience with profit and loss statements. The candidate would be very comfortable using the Microsoft Office software suite and a power user of Excel. Experience with Microsoft Great Plains and WinAir software would be an asset. As a candidate you would have completed your business or accounting education and on a path to your CPA designation.

Duties:

Using PAL financial systems your duties will include:

• Extract, format, and analyze data relating to monthly and annual financial statements.
• Prepare summary spend reports for projects and operating divisions.
• Extract detailed vendor and cost information from various accounting systems.
• Support the preparation of the weekly report, monthly forecasts, annual budgets, and ad hoc reporting.
• Support Finance Team as required.

• Demonstrated flexibility and able to adapt in a dynamic environment.
• Strong commitment to meeting deadlines and effective time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Microsoft Office suite with strong working knowledge of Excel.
• The ability to excel in a team environment and contribute to a diverse team.
• Completed your technical training or bachelor's degree in business finance or accounting. On a pathway to your CPA designation would be an asset.
