We are currently looking for a Capital Engineer to join our Reliability and Work Execution team in a permanent position. Reporting to the Manager Reliability Project Execution, you will be responsible for the efficient selection and management of distribution line projects and processes within the Reliability and Work Execution team while ensuring that project management methodology is followed. You will be part of a team integrating new technologies into our business.
Key elements of this role include:
Working closely with other technical and operational teams to ensure projects are successfully defined, planned, and implemented.
Developing tracking procedures for new construction projects and reviewing projects in the field.
Developing processes to support the efficient deployment of the capital program.
You will be responsible for your personal safety and that of your co-workers by observing all Occupational Health and Safety Rules and Regulations.

To thrive in this role, you recognize yourself in most of the following competencies and skills:
- You have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- You are a member (or eligible for membership) with Engineers Nova Scotia.
- You have strong analytical and computer skills, with an aptitude for detailed process analysis.
- You are proficient with tools and systems used in project planning, tracking, and reporting.
- You have experience in project management and are comfortable supporting multiple projects through various stages of planning and delivery.
- You have excellent communication skills that allow you to interact effectively with technical teams, project stakeholders, and operational staff.
- You have a valid driver's license and are available to support after-hours emergency service restoration when required.
