In this role, you will :
- Assist in the development and implementation of program plans, strategies, and activities to address the needs of affected communities and/or program applicants.
- Provide administrative and technical support for program implementation, including coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, managing and analyzing program documentation ensuring alignment to program parameters, and monitoring program progress.
- Support program assessments, research, and analysis to inform program design and decision-making, and ensure program activities are evidence-based and contextually relevant.
- Assist in the preparation of program/project budgets, financial reports, and funding proposals, and monitor program/project expenses to ensure compliance with budgetary guidelines.
- • Coordinate with program partners, including community agencies/leaders, government agencies, not-for-profit organizations, and other stakeholders, to ensure effective collaboration and coordination of program activities.
- • Contribute to program monitoring and evaluation efforts, including data collection, analysis, and reporting, to measure program impact and effectiveness.
- • Support and review program/project reporting and documentation ensuring alignment and completion, including preparing program/project reports, success stories, and other program or project-related materials.
- • Collaborate and coordinate with peers and other program teams to share knowledge and ensure program alignment and delivery.
- • Assist in the identification and management of program risks, issues, and challenges, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- • Make recommendations for improved program procedures, processes, guidelines and/or new program opportunities and participating in potential proposal development processes.
- • Stay updated on relevant policies, guidelines, and best practices in humanitarian programming, and contribute to continuous learning and improvement efforts within the program team.
What we are looking for :
- Qualifications include one year of experience and a 3-year college diploma or university degree in social sciences, public administration, business administration, international development, community development or related field, and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working towards PMI credential (e.g. PMP certification)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, database, and project management tools.
- Experience with documentation, budgeting support, and reporting.
- Ability to identify and resolve issues, by applying standard procedures and functional or organizational knowledge.
- Ability to communicate and influence by clarifying policies, processes, and services effectively.
- Experience in program coordination, including the development and implementation of program plans, budgets, and evaluation activities.
- Ability to assist with program planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret program data for decision-making.
- Fluency in English is required; French is an asset
Working Conditions :
- All CRC roles are required to adapt work and priorities to support emergency response efforts, be present in person as required to support service delivery and deploy to emergency responses when appropriate and/or required (personnel availability and request for exceptions will be discussed with line management).
- Will be working primarily in an office-like setting when not deployed to emergency responses.
- May require travel to safe locations; limited exposure to adverse conditions.
