In this role, you will:
- Support the development and implementation of strategies to identify, cultivate and solicit planned giving prospects.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of potential donors aligned with the strategic plan.
- Conduct research, assess and track planned giving records to personalize solicitation approaches.
- Contribute to strategic planning and budgeting to solicit existing and potential donors.
- Collaborate with Communications and Marketing to develop communication materials and tools to engage and retain planned giving donors.
- Design and lead a personal recognition and stewardship program for planned giving donors, ensuring accountability.
- Keep activity reports up to date in accordance with established objectives.
- Deliver planned giving presentations to volunteers and staff, ensuring appropriate follow-up.
- Serve as a liaison with CRC leadership, the Major Gifts team and volunteers.
- Negotiate gift agreements related to planned giving in collaboration with Legal and Finance departments.
- Build a network of professionals with expertise in fields relevant to planned giving.
- Track operations with a database, performance indicators and business plans.
- Develop and maintain planned giving procedures.
- Follow ethical fundraising codes and principles, donor privacy regulations and industry best practices to maintain organizational trust and integrity.
- Support CRC appeals for domestic, national and international responses.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Philanthropy, Business Administration, Law, Finance, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum five years of fundraising experience, including at least three years in planned giving development.
- Understanding of donor relations principles.
- Knowledge of estate administration, estate and financial planning, and endowment funds is an asset.
- Advanced knowledge of CRM Blackbaud database software.
- Proficiency with MS Office and Microsoft 365.
- Fluency in French and proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Experience in and commitment to excellence in supporting donors, volunteers and legal and financial advisors.
Working Conditions:
- Office based in Montreal.
- Permanent full-time position, flexible and hybrid schedule.
- Must be willing to travel within Canada.
- Must be available during local and international relief operations.
