The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Manager, Supply Chain (Americas) to join our Global Logistics team in Toronto.
This is a permanent hybrid position.
Additionally, in this position you will:
- Oversee daily outbound logistics operations globally, ensuring on-time shipments and compliance with service-level agreements, and manage 3PL warehouses in North America.
- Ensure efficient supply chain management, inventory control, and quality control measures for all operations, including international shipping processes, customs compliance, and trade regulations.
- Monitor performance metrics (e.g., on-time delivery, transit time, cost per shipment), prepare detailed reports for senior management, and optimize transportation networks considering cost, speed, and sustainability.
- Identify risks in logistics operations, develop mitigation strategies, and address logistics-related challenges such as delays, capacity issues, and cost escalations.
- Promote the implementation of transportation management systems (TMS) and data analytics, stay updated on industry trends, and implement advanced technologies to enhance logistics operations.
- Lead and mentor a team of logistics professionals in Brazil and Canada, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, and collaborate with internal teams to align logistics activities with supply chain and customer needs.
About You
Education:
- Bachelors Degree
- Certifications in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CSCP, CLTD) are highly desirable
Experience:
- 8-10 years' experience in Logistics, Procurement, or Supply Chain Management, with significant experience in working with 3PLs.
Skills:
- Extensive domestic and international logistics management experience, including import/export regulations and customs compliance.
- Broad organizational skills gained through significant experience and specialized training.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams in a multinational and multicultural environment.
- Proficient in logistics management systems and data analysis tools.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Portuguese or Spanish is preferred.
- Strong ability to demonstrate personal initiative, ownership, and accountability.
