Job Summary
The Senior Human Resources Consultant supports the Director in providing strategic leadership and oversight to the Total Rewards department. The Senior Human Resources Consultant is a lead resource in the development and administration of the provincial NLHS Rewards, Recognition and Appreciation program. The position works closely with the Director of Total Rewards on issues related to change management, process improvement, project management, and policy interpretation/development. The Senior Human Resources Consultant is also responsible for providing coordination and leadership in relation to HR initiatives; developing, researching, and implementing HR best practices and quality improvement activities/projects; and assisting with special projects as required. The incumbent works on a variety of HR projects across Total Rewards, liaising with other partnering programs and departments as necessary.
Job Qualifications
Education
A Baccalaureate Degree in Business Administration/Commerce or related area, preferably with major coursework in human resources.
Master?s degree is an asset.
CPHR certification is an asset.
Change management certification such as CCMP or Prosci is an asset.
Experience
Five - seven years Human Resources experience is required, ideally supplemented with experience in
project and change management, program development, facilitation of presentations, and report/briefing note writing.

Demonstrated excellent analytical, critical thinking, facilitation, and presentation skills.
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of the HRIS, COGNOS, MS Suite, Meditech Systems and report writing.
Ability to work independently and autonomously.
