About the Role

Reporting to the Director, Evaluation and Performance, you will be responsible for:

  • Functioning within a consulting capacity to undertake priority, strategically focused evaluation activities that inform the decision-making needs of all zones within the NL Health Services and provincial government.
  • Leading the planning and implementation of large-scale evaluation of provincial legislation, policies, programs and services, pilot projects and electronic health solutions within the province?s health system.
    Designing evaluation plans and frameworks.
  • Providing methods and tools for evaluation and ongoing performance monitoring.
  • Implementing and monitoring evaluation activities.
  • Identifying mitigating strategies, where needed, to ensure deliverables are completed as planned.
  • Consulting to advise provincial and regional representatives on policy, program, and service issues.
  • Presenting evaluation findings and recommendations to health system officials.

About You

Your education and experience include:

  • Master?s degree in Applied Social Psychology, Health Services research, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of relevant evaluation experience.
  • Relevant experience would include but is not limited to:
    • Experience collaborating with stakeholders within the health system.
    • Experience with developing and implementing large scale evaluation projects.
    • Experience preparing comprehensive evaluation reports.
    • Knowledge and experience in continuous quality improvement would be considered as asset.

You have the following skills and abilities:

  • Experience in application of qualitative and quantitative evaluation methods, techniques and analysis is essential.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and facilitation skills.
  • Superior communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Good judgment and an ability to build consensus among groups with differing priorities.
  • Ability to apply critical thinking throughout the evaluation process.
  • Ability to function in high pressure, diverse, and changing environment.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Outstanding time management and organizational skills.
