CNC Machinist

Job Title: CNC Machinist (Horizontal Boring Mill)

Location: Port Colborne, ON

Shifts: 7:00am-3:30pm Mon-Fri or 3:00pm-1:30am Mon-Thurs (must be available for both shifts)

Rate of Pay: $27.00 - 30.00/hour

Start Date: As soon as possible

We are hiring Machinists for our client in Port Colborne that specializes in large machining and fabricating! Completion of General Machinist 429A CoQ/CoA is preferred. Candidates must be able to lift 60lbs, work at a fast pace, and have a minimum of three (3) years' experience as a machinist in a related field.

Note: You must have your own vehicle and valid license as the facility is not transit accessible. This is a client requirement.

Responsibilities include:

• Operate and program CNC and conventional horizontal boring milling machines
• Use of Heidenhan and Fanuc software
• Complete inspections of machines before/during/after use
• Complete dimensional reports
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment
• Analyze drawings, blueprints, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to identify the dimensions and tolerances of finished components
• Determine the sequence of operations, select appropriate tools and materials, and establish setup requirements for the job
• Other duties as assigned

Candidate Requirements:

• Long-term experience in a similar fast-paced machine shop working on large products
• Completion of General Machinist 429A CoQ/CoA is preferred
• Experience using Heidenhan and Fanuc software required
• Must be available for both shift times (days and afternoons) and overtime when needed
• Must have valid Driver's License and own vehicle to commute to facility
• CSA approved safety shoes required
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 60lbs
• Willingness to complete additional training as instructed
• Candidates must be willing to provide a Criminal Record Check
