Reporting to the Director, Enterprise AML Learning, the incumbent will provide learning consultation and advice to key AML partners in support of the Enterprise AML Learning Program. The individual will contribute to the success of the Enterprise AML Learning Program by conducting training needs assessments, developing/delivering learning solutions, and tracking, measuring, and reporting on Enterprise AML learning to meet Bank and regulatory requirements. In addition, the individual ensures all activities adhere to learning standards and follow governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
This role will contribute to the development of learning plans, programs, and emerging AML learning initiatives for a global audience while building strong relationships with key AML partners in various areas of Scotiabank.
The Senior Manager, Enterprise AML Learning is a strategic business partner who is proactive in identifying learning needs and developing learning programs/solutions that build AML skills and competencies required to support the ever-changing and future requirements of the Global AML Program. The Senior Manager delivers learning solutions, enhances the learner experience, and monitors/reports on learning effectiveness.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Contribute to the evolution of AML learning to enhance and strengthen the overall Enterprise AML Learning Program through the development of tailored learning.
- Conduct training needs assessments to identify Enterprise AML learning gaps arising from regulatory changes, regulatory exam findings, risk assessments, industry trends, and lessons learned. Develop appropriate learning solutions to remediate gaps and provide recommendations on program execution and design that inform the annual learning plan.
- Work in close collaboration with Scotiabank's Global Learning, subject matter experts, and external vendors to develop and deliver Global AML learning, utilizing various training formats to deliver learning that is both engaging and effective for a diverse audience in international locations.
- Track and measure the effectiveness of AML learning initiatives and provide learning reporting for Global AML annual learning hours.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of learning solutions and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Provide timely reporting on ACAMS memberships, certifications, and applicable budgets, ensuring that any issues are escalated appropriately.
- Be responsible for ensuring that information related to learning programs is complete and current within Enterprise AML Learning.
- Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
- Stay abreast of global best practices in AML learning and how they can be adopted to strengthen the delivery of the Enterprise AML Learning Program.
- Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Note that duties may evolve based on organizational needs and in support of team priorities.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We'd love to work with you if you have experience with:
- A university degree or equivalent in HR, Business, or a related learning field
- A degree, certificate, or designation in adult learning
- Experience developing a learning plan and executing learning solutions in a large, complex corporation, gained through seven years or more of relevant work experience. The incumbent must have the expertise to provide sound, actionable recommendations to stakeholders
- Expertise in learning tools such as Articulate/Rise 360, Camtasia, Vyond, and Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
- Proven experience creating learning content and developing and delivering learning solutions for multiple learning styles and delivery approaches
- Strong understanding of learning management systems, learning measurement, metrics, and reporting
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills to engage with key stakeholders and prepare effective program updates
- Excellent program management, time management, and prioritization skills to deliver on multiple priorities
- Strong negotiation, managerial, and strategic thinking skills
- Excellent English writing and verbal communication skills, with strong accuracy and attention to detail
- Knowledge and/or experience in the banking industry or AML is an asset
- Spanish fluency is considered an asset.
