As part of the Digital Technology team, the Director, Enterprise Analytics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) will strategically lead organizational data management, analytics, and AI initiatives. This key role is responsible for enabling and driving data-driven decision-making across the enterprise, ensuring data integrity, implementing advanced analytics strategies, and fostering a data-driven culture.

Key functions include:

  • Develop and execute the enterprise data strategy, deriving value within and for the business. This includes collaborating with executive leadership to prioritize data, analytics and AI Initiatives, in addition to defining data governance frameworks, tools, policies and standards, to ensure quality, security and compliance.
  • Provide exemplary leadership to a team of data scientists, analysts, engineers and architects, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment focused on continuous improvement and learning.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of machine learning models, predictive analytics, and data visualization tools to deliver actionable insights. Ensure the seamless integration of AI solutions across business functions and enhance data accessibility to support operational efficiency and decision making.
  • Lead the design and maintenance of scalable data architecture and infrastructure aligned with enterprise architecture and platform optimization principles. Evaluate and implement modern data technologies and tools by staying ahead of emerging trends to support analytics capabilities.
  • Engage and partner with business units to identify opportunities for leveraging data and analytics to drive business outcomes, championing data-driven decision-making, promoting analytics adoption across the organization, and effectively communicating data strategies, initiatives and results to leadership.

Our ideal teammate will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
  • Ten years of progressive experience overseeing data management, analytics, business intelligence and AI functions. This includes:
    • collaborating with senior leaders and cross functional stakeholders with diverse interests and enterprise-wide programs, operating and influencing effectively across the organization and within complex controls to make actionable recommendations, driving and influencing change and cultural transformation
    • operational experience in strategic technology planning and execution, and policy development and maintenance, optimizing data to drive AI solutions that are both scalable and impactful
    • experience in integrating complex, cross-organizational processes and data models, as well as designing strategic metrics and performance scorecards
    • strong background in data architecture, data governance, and data integration technologies
    • working with big data and social data, as well as cloud-based delivery of solutions
    • familiarity with business information generation and analysis methods
    • strong project management experience with a solid understanding of established methodologies
  • Five years of demonstrated leadership capabilities involving supervising teams or work groups, collaborating with senior leadership and external stakeholders, using information effectively, motivating employees, valuing individual contributions, and creating a sense of team
  • Preference will be given to candidates with:

a background in strategy and management consulting
direct experience within the energy sector

  • strong aptitude for turning complex insights into clear, actionable recommendations

An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be modified.
