Working as a Security Guard you will be responsible for completing investigations and incident reports. You will be expected to perform consistent patrols and interact with the public to provide good customer service and keep the Clients and visitors safe.

Job Responsibilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and flexible environment with maintaining the utmost professionalism

- Remain calm and effectively perform in emergency situations
- Able to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures
- Complete consistent patrols of the interior and exterior of site
- Perform patient watches
- Complete incident reporting and end-of-shift reports
- Supervise and monitor guests, staff, and patients to ensure a proactive approach to incidents
Qualifications
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C Certificate (from a WSIB-approved provider)
- Ability to be clean shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test
- Proof of COVID-19 Vaccine (minimum double vaccination)
- A copy of your immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella [MMR], Varicella, Pertussis, and TB Skin Tests - Step 1 & 2)

- Ability to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check (during onboarding)
- Fluency in English (verbal/written) required
- Fluency in French is considered an asset
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (extensive patrolling, restraints, etc.)
- 6+ months previous security experience is preferred
- Previous healthcare/healthcare security experience is considered an asset
- Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
- Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
- Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6 month commitment to the position/availability
