What you will be doing:

The Senior Manager, Reporting & Analytics, leads the development and execution of data-driven insights and reporting frameworks within the Technology Governance function. This role will enhance decision-making, ensure compliance, and drive operational excellence through robust analytics and governance reporting. Also, this role works closely with data stewards and data owners in Technology to define, prioritize, and deliver impactful data products in compliance with internal policies and industry regulations.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

• Develop and implement data-driven strategies within Technology Governance, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
• Lead the preparation and analysis of the IT reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with governance standards
• Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights into technology risk, compliance, and performance.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of recurring and ad-hoc reports to internal and external stakeholders.
• Champion data integrity, consistency, and quality across governance reporting systems.
• Leverage advanced analytics to identify risks and opportunities, including predictive modelling and trend analysis.
• Act as a liaison between Technology Governance and other departments (e.g., Risk, Compliance, IT Operations) to ensure cohesive reporting and analytics strategies.
• Provide actionable insights through data analysis to support technology investment decisions and risk management.
• Collaborate with data stewards and data owners to ensure data quality, lineage documentation and adherence to policies and regulatory requirements (e.g., OSFI, PIPEDA)
• Ensure reporting aligns with regulatory and organizational governance frameworks.
• Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements in reporting and analytics.
• Assist IT Leadership in developing and monitoring KPIs that provide insights into IT performance, ensuring regular and transparent reporting for Tangerine leadership.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in reporting, analytics, or data governance.
• Strong knowledge of IT governance frameworks (COBIT, ITIL, etc.)
• Understanding of the banking systems and processes
• Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle, Agile and Waterfall methodologies
• A strong knowledge of data management principles, product ownership best practices
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to rapidly assess problem situations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation and client relationships management skills.
• Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio and MS Project).
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), SQL, and analytics platforms.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and their governance models is preferred.
• Experience with DEVOPS tools such as Jira and Confluence is an asset
• Certification in data analytics or governance (e.g., CDMP, CISA, CGEIT) is advantageous.
