The Senior Manager, Activation and Sustainment (12 Month Contract), is responsible for driving engagement across Scotiabank's Client Experience Centres Globally. They must be able to cultivate strong relationships with Global Client Experience Centres (GCEC) leaders and business partners across the bank to build and deliver a joint sustainment plan.
The Senior Manager, Activation and Sustainment will lead the planning and execution of GCEC's employee onboarding and sustainment activities, ensuring strategies, plans and initiatives are delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Leads the overall planning and strategy for the onboarding and sustainment of employees across GCEC. Liaising with leaders across CEC and IB Countries
- Leads and drives an employee focused culture throughout GCEC ensuring all employees are engaged and feel welcome including developing strategies and activities to promote diversity & inclusion
- Leads and organizes Global Client Experience Centre Town Halls quarterly; supports VP Town Halls CEC, Strategy & Design, Operational Governance, GEC Regulatory Governance TH's globally to ensure messaging is aligned across teams
- Leads and organizes employee engagement events bi-annually incorporating all sites and geographies.
- Ongoing support of network level engagement initiatives for the CEC and support for IB countries when applicable.
- Develops and manages calendar of engagement activities for all employees, incorporating bank Engagement calendar of events
- Liaises with IB Countries to share engagement strategies across the Global footprint supporting the Countries and creating forums to share best practices, celebrate successes, and encourage delivery against key measures of performance
- Liaises with Bank Engagement & Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, to incorporate the larger plan into GCEC's employee sustainment plan
- Builds a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment and using a coaching mindset and behaviors; communicating vison/values/business strategy; and managing succession and development planning for the team.
- Demonstrate strong team leadership to motivate and sustain individual and team performance.
- Foster and develop a strong, positive team environment, driving employee empowerment, innovation, and a high degree of engagement.
- Exhibit an ability to listen, negotiate and communicate goals.
- Identify and support training and developmental needs of team members.
- Manage staffing requirements and departmental workloads, especially during peak periods.
- Research and incorporate internal and external best practices into annual planning
- Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global
- Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
- Undergraduate in English, Communications, Journalism, or equivalent experience
- Good understanding of overall Banking organization and delivery channels
- Working knowledge of Contact Centre measures of performance
- Proven track record of employee onboarding and sustainment planning and execution
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- A strong ability to develop creative and innovative solutions ("think outside the box")
- Highly developed management skills to coordinate planning, collection, and synthesis of information
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Bilingual – English, Spanish considered and asset
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint
