The Role
In the role of Specialist, Fraud Awareness and Education, you're responsible for developing, managing, and enhancing Scotiabank's capability to communicate and educate on fraud-related topics both internally and externally. This includes creating and executing comprehensive communication strategies, developing fraud awareness initiatives, and promoting Global Fraud Management as a thought leader within Scotiabank and the industry. You support the efforts in crafting and disseminating key fraud messages and business insights across various channels. Your role is crucial in keeping employees informed, customers protected, and stakeholders engaged in the Bank's fraud prevention and awareness efforts.
Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
- Support development and delivery of a comprehensive internal communications and awareness strategy for Global Fraud Management employees and the broader Bank using various channels and tactic
- Conceptualize and design key communications materials that align with employee and customer communications strategies.
- Manage strategic support and communications needs including coordinating with operations and strategy teams on distilling and presenting key fraud messages and insights, ensuring that all deliverables are completed on time and align to fraud key messaging.
- Coordinate public and customer-facing messaging for international countries, leveraging content from all regions, and managing deployment via marketing partners across the enterprise
- Manage and evolve internal communications delivery channels (e.g. Scotiabank Live intranet, executive messaging and materials).
- Be an active partner by collaborating with internal partners to support relevant fraud key messages and insights, effective flow of information, and cross functional problem resolution.
- Contribute to the overall success of the Global Fraud Management and the Bank ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
- Fluently bilingual in Spanish and English is required. Fluency in French is considered an asset.
- Relevant university/college degree – Journalism, Graphic Design, Communication/Public Relations or Business and/or;
- 2+ years of communications, strategic support, or related experience.
- Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining strong working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- Understanding of Compliance and Business Continuity Planning.
- Excellent ability to take complex ideas and translate them into digestible key messages that resonate with appropriate audiences.
- Proficiency with design tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign and with MS PowerPoint and Excel.
- Proficiency with SharePoint, WordPress and other tools considered an asset.
- Excellent attention to detail in writing, proof-reading and verbal skills.
- Self-planning and multi-tasking skills to schedule, organize and carry out work assignments according to established work plans, adjusting work schedules according to changing priorities.
- Ability to prioritize and react quickly within a rapidly changing environment.
