Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Coordinator is a key member of the Shopper Engagement team. This role supports the day-to-day operations of the marketing department and helps to keep projects on track. The Marketing Coordinator plays a vital part in planning, executing, and tracking shopper-facing and reputation-focused initiatives, including in-store promotions, marketing tools, and routine program management.

Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage NSLC Marketing & Promotions team project timelines and coordinate with agency, external partners, and NSLC team members to ensure deadlines are met
  • Support execution and rollout of shopper and reputational marketing initiatives in-store, including promotional signage, display contests, and tools under the guidance of the Marketing Manager
  • Facilitate the development, proofing, and delivery of the Retail Execution Guide each period, ensuring cross-functional inputs are completed, deadlines are met, and the team remains aligned-ultimately driving clear, consistent execution for our frontline teammates.
  • Proof collateral pieces for accuracy and ensure overall quality (signage, presentations, Execution Guides, marketing briefs, and print materials)
  • Manage same-day email and ticket requests from store teams, internal team members, and partners. Providing support and solutions where required.
  • Manage and coordinate the ordering of stationery and other required items to support the Shopper Engagement team.
  • Organize marketing materials and maintain a centralized library of files and assets to ensure easy access and effective use by the team
  • Coordinate advertising, promotional item requests, and sponsorship deliverables with a focus on achieving marketing and business objectives
  • Develop internal communication pieces to inform NSLC store teams about upcoming marketing programs via internal news and execution notes
  • Support event coordination and annual gifting initiatives, including booking logistics, ordering materials, invitations, managing registrations and pre/on-site/post duties under the guidance of the Marketing Specialists
  • Support and coordinate invoice processing and budget management to ensure accurate and timely budget reporting. Actively manage the marketing budget on behalf of the team.
  • Act as the key contact for NSLC's print partner to execute in-store marketing materials, inventory items, and lead the development of NSLC's print materials distribution list
  • Develop an understanding of the business and market and continually develop marketing acumen and skills. Apply marketing acumen and market knowledge to decisions and actions

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Visit (NSLC and non-NSLC) retail locations a minimum of6 times a year, with Marketing Manager, to observe and assess the shopping environment, identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Assist in the development and achievement of annual business unit plans, objectives, and budget; achieve individual objectives as assigned
  • Proactively identify opportunities, initiating and implementing new ideas to improve our current systems and procedures within marketing
  • Demonstrate commitment to the NSLC's service standards and our values
  • Actively participate in the NSLC performance management activities
  • Demonstrate commitment to workplace health and safety
  • Some travel and weekend work may be required with this role
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications

As a qualified candidate you will have:

  • Undergraduate degree or diploma with an emphasis in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related fields
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a Sales, Marketing, or Communications role

As an ideal candidate you will have:

  • Related experience working in a fast-moving consumer packaged goods industry with retail or service experience preferred
  • Experience working in a project management capacity, considered an asset

An alternate combination of education and experience may be considered equivalent.
