Job Summary
This position's primary purpose is to provide advanced administrative and confidential support in the day-to-day operations of the Mental Health and Addictions Neuropsychiatry Program for the Manager, Psychiatrists and other staff as required.
The Clerk IV will be responsible for prioritizing work and schedules, drafting and typing correspondence/reports and other necessary documents. They will also be responsible for coordinating meetings, recording and transcribing minutes, and preparing and distributing agendas, minutes and other related information. The Clerk IV will have daily interactions with Clients/families and various external stakeholders for the purpose of directing inquiries or complaints as appropriate. The Clerk IV will prepare presentations as well as obtain information for the completion of a variety of reports and other documents. They will also organize and maintain a filing system. They will be responsible for interacting with other directors/managers, management support, clients/families, community-based organizations and the Department of Health and Community Services/other Government Departments as well as the general public. The Clerk IV will also provide confidential assistance to members of the Management Team of the Mental Health and Addictions Program, as necessary. Other duties include entering bi-weekly payroll, data-entry, ordering supplies, updating Program's intranet site, appointments coordination and designing forms and posters.

Job Qualifications
Education
Successful completion of a two-year Office Administration or Business Administrative program from an approved/recognized college is required.
Experience
A minimum of three years' experience within the last five in a progressively responsible administrative role is required.
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is required.
Demonstrated knowledge of Meditech would be an asset.
Demonstrated ability to provide quality work in a timely manner.
Demonstrated strong organizational and communication skills.
Demonstrated effective problem solving and analytical skills.
Proven ability to work with limited supervision in a dynamic work environment.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a deadline driven, team-orientated environment.
