Information Technology Work Execution Planner

Key Responsibilities:

Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro is offering a challenging and exciting opportunity to join our team. Working in a creative, fast-paced environment, you'll be part of transforming the future of the province's energy sector. Our long-term Technology plan includes an ambitious capital program to rebuild, renew and replace portions of our installed technology base.

• You will be responsible for the planning, scheduling and coordination of work execution activities for Hydro's Information Systems, Information Management, and Cybersecurity groups.
• You will develop project estimates and schedules for the execution of Information Technology capital work. This will include resource planning, material requisition, work breakdown structure development, critical path analysis, and overall development of annual work plans based on current schedule templates.
• You will act as a liaison between capital planning groups and work execution teams.
• You will be required to problem solve and continuously look for innovative solutions that can be utilized on projects.
• You are expected to exercise a personal initiative and judgment in carrying out assigned duties as they relate to project planning.
• You will also make recommendations to improve the Corporation's performance of its key goals and targets.

What We're Looking For:

• Proven and demonstrated communication skills;
• Ability to thrive as a participant within a multi-discipline team of both internal and external resources;

What You'll Need:

• Business, Commerce or Computer Engineering degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
• Experience in Information Technology project estimates, schedule development and project management techniques;
• Membership in PMI would be an asset;
• Experience working with MS Office applications;
• Knowledge and familiarity with estimation and scheduling software would be an asset
