Salary Range: $49,410 - $61,768 per annum
YOUR FOCUS
Reporting to the Dean of the Faculty of Kinesiology, the Experiential Learning Coordinator leads experiential learning in Kinesiology. The Coordinator builds and maintains relationships with surrounding communities, fosters an environment for students and faculty to engage in experiential opportunities and liaises with the Director of Experiential Education for the Faculty.
- Maintain the current internship programs at both the undergraduate and graduate level.
- Develop internship opportunities in collaboration with students.
- Ensure that the roles and responsibilities of employers and partners are met.
- Grow the internship programs by actively recruiting new partners.
- Cooperate and engage with the Office of Experiential Education to ensure a commitment to experiential learning.
- Assist in the development of new opportunities with faculty members and external partners.
- Liaise with other internal departments and units regularly.
- Gather and collate reporting, track outcomes and participation in experiential learning in the faculty.
- Administer focus groups, surveys, and other data collection methods with students, faculty, staff, and external partners.
- Develop standardized policies and procedures related to experiential learning for the Faculty.
- Update and maintain the internship handbooks, support the development of new assignments and course outlines that are reflective of current academic practices related to experiential learning.
- Promote the experiential learning opportunities for the Faculty of Kinesiology internally as an option for current students and externally to attract undergraduate and graduate students as well as partners.
WHAT YOU BRING
- University degree in a relevant field.
- Experience in education with the development of policies, procedures, course outlines, and database management.
- Experience in project coordination, community outreach, relationship building, and/or experiential education projects is an asset.
