Purpose

The Senior Manager – OTC Confirmations manages specialized trade confirmation requirements for GBM, Treasury, and Wealth globally. This role is accountable for compliance, operational risk, expenses, and customer service, and contributes to the strategic direction of the department.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Ensure operational efficiency by maintaining efficient processes, operations, and management controls.
  • Monitor transaction volumes and improve operational efficiency through automation and risk reduction.
  • Identify, assess, and manage risks in day-to-day operations. Address large value or aged unconfirmed transactions proactively and contribute to a robust management control program.
  • Implement and support technology solutions for trade confirmations. Guide User Acceptance Testing and troubleshoot system issues.
  • Maintain high levels of customer service as per Scotia Service Standards.
  • Foster a customer-focused culture, prioritize activities, and organize staff to meet business objectives.
  • Build a high-performance environment and implement a people strategy that attracts, retains, and develops the team.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • In-depth knowledge of team functions, processes, and controls for risk and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong understanding of supported products, global depositories, and governing rules and regulations.
  • Extensive knowledge of OTC derivative products, transaction structures, and finance principles.
  • Extensive knowledge of ISDA Definitions and related templates, with the ability to interpret and apply them to transactions.

Work Arrangement: This position is currently a Hybrid role. Please note that this is subject to change based on the needs of the business.
