Job Requirements:
- Valid First Aid/CPR Certification (please upload certificate or proof of registration in upcoming course to your resume)
- Light Lifting (up to 20 pounds)
- Medium Lifting (up to 50 pounds)
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certification
Trained or Willing to be Trained:
- Toileting
- Personal Care
- Use of Assistive Technology
- Physiotherapy Follow-up
- Seizure Management
- Behaviour Management Support (Assist with implementation and tracking of behaviour targets, De-escalation strategies, Foster pro-social and conflict resolution skills, Implement calming strategies)
- Other Medical Related Procedures
Assets:
- Experience Working with Down's Syndrome
- Experience Working with Autism
- A related diploma or certificate from a recognized post secondary institution, including a formal practicum placement will be considered an asset.
