About the Role:

The Computer Systems Analyst II performs advanced technical work in planning, directing and co-ordinating the development of information technology systems and services. Work also includes conducting investigations into problems with existing production systems and the controlling and co-ordinating of maintenance and enhancement projects to existing systems.

Research, plan, design, develop, modify, evaluate, and integrate enterprise and data center infrastructure, configuration, hardware, and related equipment, as it pertains to enterprise data center systems.

Analysis and consultation on production and test systems requirements, development and implementation of information systems development plans, policies, and procedures, and provide advice and guidance on a wide range of advanced enterprise information technology system issues.

They will perform various roles such as day to day performance monitoring and troubleshooting of deploy solutions; Continually optimize call flow design to deliver top-notch customer support experiences; Provide advance support to the level one support team; The position requires the ability to thoroughly test, analyze, configure and implement these technologies within a high-availability environment consisting of complex and multi-vendor environment, while complying with disaster recovery practices and procedures - including performance of data and configuration integrity validation to all IT infrastructure deployed.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform analysis and design of client requests; implements and tests the design.
  • Document new and existing business rules for new and existing systems.
  • Attend meetings with stakeholders for the purpose of requirement gathering and analysis, in relation to new and existing systems and projects.
  • Interview or surveys system users and observes job performance to determine what information is processed and how it is processed.
  • Create documents outlining solutions, timelines, and the level of effort in relation to projects.
  • Maintain communication with stakeholders to refine requirements, inform them of progress, resolve issues, create test scenarios, and provide training on the use of the final product.
  • Perform server configuration and maintenance planning for live and test environments.
  • Establish templates and puts forth recommendations for development and server standards.
  • Assist managers on writing tender related specifications, evaluates responses, and assists with other infrastructure acquisitions.
  • Test the disaster recovery plan.
  • Evaluate, configure, and install enterprise IT infrastructure, (i.e. email gateways, remote access solutions, servers, storage array, backup solution, etc.)
  • Provide problem-solving services and training to junior co-workers.


About You

Your education and experience include:

  • Graduation from a recognized university with a Computer Science Degree, or a bachelor’s degree supplemented by a recognized graduate diploma in Information Technology (minimum one year), or a three-year Information Technology diploma from a recognized technical college.
  • Minimum of five years’ progressively responsible experience in enterprise IT Infrastructure in areas of Data Center, with focus in system design, planning, installation, and administration.
  • IT certifications in MCSE, Cloud Computing/Dev-Ops and ITIL are considered an asset.


You have the following skills and abilities:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of several technologies (i.e., Cisco, Microsoft Exchange Email, Azure, Anti-spam products, Active Directory, DNS) operating systems, servers, storage, infrastructure design and management, data centre management, application support and development, enterprise management, and business services.
  • Ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical team members.
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills complimented by the ability to develop and maintain effective working.
  • Strong understanding of privacy, confidentiality, and access issues.
  • Ability to deal with sensitive information using excellent judgment, diplomacy, and discretion.
