Purpose
GBM Onboarding is vital to the bank's AML & Regulatory Compliance efforts. The Associate Director will lead a team specializing in KYC/AML/Derivatives, ensuring compliance with both Enterprise-Wide and local standards, and building strong strategic relationships across GBM globally and the bank.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Assist the Head of KYC, Derivatives, and Margin Onboarding in efficiently onboarding global GBM clients. Resolve day-to-day issues, escalate complex matters, and keep the Head informed of any delays.
- Ensure adherence to the GBM KYC Program by operationalizing policies and procedures, supporting industry and system changes, and implementing compliance measures.
- Train staff on all applicable regulations (KYC/AML/Derivatives) and ensure they have the necessary tools.
- Oversee and manage the Derivatives onboarding staff in Canada, including recruitment and management of full-time and temporary staff.
- Continuously enhance knowledge of the bank's business strategies, risk management practices, product offerings, regulatory requirements, and technology to drive improvements in onboarding procedures.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We'd love to work with you if you have:
- Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline is required.
- Direct industry experience in wholesale banking and capital markets, covering multiple product areas with a client-centric approach.
- Proficient and knowledgeable in derivatives regulations such as Canadian Derivatives, Dodd-Frank CFTC & SBS, EMIR, etc., preferably with 8+ years of direct industry experience.
- Expertise in current and anticipated regulatory frameworks impacting client onboarding in Canada.
- Broad knowledge of end-to-end workflows among Front, Middle, and Back Offices.
- Prior experience managing a team.
