The opportunity

EY Technology Consulting is a fast-moving and high-growth area within EY. We are currently looking for a SAP Development Lead - Manager to join our Enterprise Applications team. This role offers variety, responsibility, and the opportunity to realize your leadership potential. We are looking for an individual who combines experience leading SAP projects with an aptitude for driving sales pursuits and for helping grow our business.

Your key responsibilities

As a Manager, you will work directly with clients to transform their business challenges into solutions using SAP technologies including Business Technology Platform. The role is primarily accountable for providing SAP development and integration expertise and services for the design and delivery (build, test, run) of SAP custom solutions. The role will also be required to provide leadership, oversight and mentorship for junior team members; this includes providing support building out the development and integration practice. You will influence projects, vendors and/or SIs to ensure they are aligned with our approved methods and delivery standards.

People Management: Effectively lead the team with diverse skills and backgrounds and foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment.

Project Management: Participate in large scale SAP client engagements. Consistently deliver quality client services, driving high-quality work products within the expected timeframes and on budget. Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes. Manage expectations of client service delivery. Stay abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client's business. Should be a self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Should be comfortable interfacing with a client on a daily basis. This role requires daily interaction with the client at many levels.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Analysis of functional and non-functional requirements presenting custom solution options for addressing the gaps in standard functionality; associated complexity and effort estimates
  • Collaborate with functional teams, architects, and project stakeholders
  • Design SAP innovative custom solutions that are based on best and/or leading practices
  • Build and code solutions and frameworks ensuring adherence to software development lifecycle and naming standards
  • Ensure highest quality solutions using code reviews, technical and performance testing
  • Have practical experience with both waterfall and agile methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage multiple complex projects
  • Must have experience in all development deliverables including development and integration strategies, technical specifications, code and unit tests.
  • Must be able to operate on multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Must also be able to operate in multi-functional, multi-disciplinary teams
  • Must be able to present and lead client workshops on key technical topics. Be able to influence and/or convince leaders and decision makers
  • Communicate all solution design and concepts to implementation teams
  • Must be able to work both in a team environment and independently
  • Provide support and guidance to coach and mentor junior developers on SAP technologies and practices including guidance on training

To qualify for the role you must have

  • 10+ Years of proven experience in SAP ECC & S4 RICEFW Development , with ability to work and co-ordinate with SAP Basis , security and functional teams.
  • Good knowledge of ABAP 7.4(and above) development features, S/4HANA Extensibility options– Key User & Side by Side Extensibility including CDS views, AMDP
  • Good knowledge of integration option in sap (including odata , SOAP , idoc etc)
  • Good hands on experience on SAP Ui5/Fiori development (SAPUI5, Fiori Elements) including knowledge of java script , node.js , html5 and sap ui5 libraries
  • Must be familiar with managing UI5/FIORI development via GIT repositories
  • Good knowledge of SAP Fiori Launchpad design and configuration
  • Good development experience on RESTful ABAP Programming Model
  • Good to have knowledge on Cloud Application Programming Model
  • Proven experience in SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) in the following areas:
    • Hands on Experience in SAP Business Application Studio, SAP Fiori Launchpad Service
    • Managing Security: Authorization & Trust Management, Identity Authentication & Provisioning
    • Managing Connectivity from BTP to S4 (OnPrem, Private or Public Editions)
    • Must be familiar with design and development principles of custom workflows using SAP BTP Workflow Management Service
    • Good to have knowledge on SAP Build, SAP Build Workzone Service and SAP BTP Mobile Service
    • Good to have knowledge on SAP Integration Suite
    • Good knowledge of setting up BTP sub-accounts – subscribing to services , assigning quotas/allocation, defining roles and access and defining strategy for different environments(Dev,Qa,Prod)
  • Must be Familiar with SAP Business workflows and Flexible workflows
  • Must be familiar with User Tasks, Script Tasks, Service Tasks

The salary range for this job in British Columbia is $90,000 to $165,000. Individual salaries within this range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and work location city.
