Summary
Positions: Airport Operations Specialist (AOS)
Salary: $59,700 - $75,500 depending on experience.
Terms of Employment: Full time (40 hours per week); probation period of 6 months. 2 positions available.

What we're looking for
The successful candidate will be an essential part of the Fredericton International Airport's safety response. This is a physically demanding position and includes shift work, so the successful candidate must be able to pass the AOS fitness test (full details available on request) and accommodate the work schedule regardless of weather.
In addition, this position requires:
- a minimum Grade 12 education (or equivalent),
- valid driver's licence with air brakes,
- minimum of three years' experience operating specialized, medium and/or heavy equipment,
- minimum of three years' experience performing safety performance monitoring,
- mechanical aptitude and detailed knowledge of safety processes, and
- knowledge of inspection and basic maintenance processes for a variety of mobile equipment.
In Addition, Fire Fighting level II and/or Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) qualifications would be an asset.
The successful candidate will:
- Provide emergency response (firefighting) on the airfield,
- maintain grounds and runways, including snowplowing and mowing, to ensure a safe environment for operations and compliance with all aviation regulations,
- obtain and maintain security clearance and airside vehicle operator's permit,
- ensure that safety comes first, and
- be a flexible, positive, and dynamic team member!
