OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

We are seeking a Bilingual (Spanish/English) System Administrator for a 3 4 month project, with the possibility of extension. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with teams based in Moncton, NB and Peru, working within the Atlantic Time Zone.

WHAT YOU LL BE DOING IN THE ROLE:

  • System Administration: Oversee and maintain Microsoft-based systems and infrastructure, including Active Directory, Azure, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365. Perform system upgrades, optimizations, and troubleshooting to ensure secure and efficient operations.
  • Virtualization and Backup Management: Implement and support virtualization projects, manage backup and recovery solutions, and contribute to the development of system resilience and disaster recovery processes.
  • Network Administration: Maintain, monitor, and optimize network infrastructure to support efficient data flow and connectivity, implementing security protocols and regular updates.
  • System Upgrades: Plan and implement system updates, patches, and upgrades to enhance performance and security.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Report to IT Operations management, ensuring compliance with internal policies and best practices while maintaining up-to-date documentation of configurations and procedures.

WHAT SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS YOU LL NEED TO DO THE JOB:

  • Proven experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role, with hands-on expertise in server and network administration.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, infrastructure, and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Experience with virtualization, backup solutions, and IT security best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft technologies, including Active Directory, Azure, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365.
