We are searching for a permanent full-time Facility Support Worker / Chauffeur to join our Parkland on the River team based in Miramichi, New Brunswick.

About the Opportunity
Facility Maintenance:

• Perform general maintenance and repairs on buildings, equipment, and grounds.
• Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and inspections as directed.
• Assemble, move, and set up furniture and equipment as needed.
• Access and update maintenance work orders using the PM Worx system.
• Monitor inventory and request necessary materials, supplies, and tools.
• Follow all workplace health and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Resident Transportation:

• Safely transport residents to scheduled appointments and outings.
• Assist residents with entering/exiting the vehicle and handling mobility aids and personal items.
• Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of respecting resident's rights, including: respecting others, maintaining confidentiality, promoting independence, respecting privacy, respecting the right to refuse services and involvement.
• Maintain vehicles in good operating condition, perform routine maintenance, and schedule service as required.
• Keep accurate vehicle maintenance and trip records.

About You

In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring:

• A high school diploma or completion of equivalent education;
• 1-2 years' experience in construction or building maintenance;
• Knowledge of WHMIS and Occupational Health and Safety legislation;
• A clean driving record with a Class 4 Driver's license;
• Ability to provide a clear driver's abstract;
• Ability to provide a clear criminal record check upon hire;
• A passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services and care.
