The Shipper and Receiver will perform all duties related to shipping, receiving and distribution of goods. The position is responsible to expedite orders, resolve complaints and discrepancies on purchased materials, supply and services. Relationship Management is key to this position as the role will assist in maintaining good public relations with delivery services and with all employees. Lastly, this position is responsible for ordering and inventory of all Facilities supplies.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for several front-line Logistics functions including receiving/shipping of RedShores stock and non-stock (mail), stationary, coordination of special mailout.
• Perform daily sort of all incoming mail into the centralized pickup area. Prepare, package and assign appropriate carriers for all outgoing envelopes and packages.
• Coordinate and replenish the inventory of office related items on an 'as needed' basis.
• Keep shipping orderly and clean, and keep outside surrounding areas, clean and tidy on a regular basis.
• Work in collaboration with vendors to coordinate dumpster pick up
• Ability to sit, stand for long periods of time in addition to lifting to 50lbs boxes daily.
Given the role serves 'internal clients', it is important that the clerk have an above average customer service skills ensuring requests are handling professionally delivering a superior service with each encounter.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical and communication skills
• Ability to multi task is an asset
• Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
• Working knowledge of computer software applications; Microsoft Excel, Word, Publisher and Oracle.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, days evenings and weekends
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education, certificate in distribution and transportation techniques or comparable equivalent and minimum 2 years related experience.
• Ability to sit, stand for long periods of time in addition to lifting up to 50lbs boxes on a daily basis.
Given the role serves 'internal clients', it is important that the clerk have an above average customer service skills ensuring requests are handling professionally delivering a superior service with each encounter.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner.
Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
• Working knowledge of computer software applications; Microsoft Excel, Word, Publisher, and Oracle.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding area.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Bilingualism is an asset.
