JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Corporate Director of Primary Health Care and the Palliative Approach and Integrated End-of-Life Care, the Director of Primary Health Care Integrated Service Networks will lead and supervise all activities of the integrated service networks in each community within Vitalité Health Network's territory. This person will be responsible for overseeing all points of service in the primary health care integrated service networks, including community-based interdisciplinary and integrated teams, health centres and community health centres.
As part of their mandate, they will be responsible for the planning and organization of the care and services provided and act as a consultant for the delivery of services based on a primary health care model. They will be responsible for managing human, financial and physical resources, training staff, managing quality, safety and performance, and supporting training and research. They will also ensure that tools are in place to support managers and staff under their supervision. They will be assigned various mandates according to operational needs, such as responsibility for developing and implementing services or processes based on the needs of the department, the Network and the province.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in a health-related discipline
- Master's degree in the health field, an asset
- Training in health management or organizational leadership, an asset
- Minimum of five years' experience in a health care management position
- Eight to ten years' experience in the health field
- Proven knowledge and experience in primary health care required
- Experience supervising/managing staff and strong coaching skills required
- Knowledge and experience in program and project development and implementation required
- Member of a professional association
- Excellent leadership, high level of initiative and sound judgment

- Strategic-thinking skills and innovative, collaborative and visionary management style
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
