Position: Licensed Practical Nurse
Employment Status: Full Time

Salary: per Collective Agreement Closing Date: May 23, 2025

Responsibilities:
• To provide nursing care to residents in collaboration with a Registered Nurse.
• Attend and participate in nursing conferences at beginning and end of your shift, to exchange information on residents in your care.
• Receive direction from Director or Assistant Director of Resident Care and Nurse in Charge.
• Participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care/plans for residents.
• Perform resident care procedures in accordance with the LPN scope of practice including medication administration.
• Documentation of all aspects of care and completion of reports as required by the facility (i.e. daily communication report, incident reports etc.)
• Share in observing changes in residents' condition and collaborate with the RN as required.
• Assist with resident specific tasks where required (feeding, bathing, mobilization, etc.)
• Supervise the care provided by front line staff on your assigned unit and provide direction where necessary.
• The LPN role include being in charge of Mountain Lea Lodge with an RN on call
• These job duties are only the basic and prime duties of the job, related and allied duties can and will be assigned from time to time as they may become necessary to the operation of the home.
Qualifications:
• Currently licensed as an LPN in Nova Scotia
• Successful completion of Pharmacology Course
• Current certificate in Standard First Aid, including CPR
• Non-violent Crisis Intervention training or Mandt an asset
• Related experience preferred.
