Key Responsibilities
Technology Leadership and Vision
- Define, communicate, and continually evolve the company's technology vision in alignment with business goals and customer needs.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and executive team on technology investments, innovation opportunities, and emerging trends.
- Ensure all technology decisions support scalability, security, and long-term sustainability.
Product Strategy and Leadership
- Act as the executive owner of the product portfolio, guiding long-term vision and short-term priorities.
- Partner with cross-functional leaders to repackage, reposition, or consolidate product offerings for maximum customer value.
- Ensure that the product roadmap reflects both market demands and internal strategic goals.
Security Oversight
- Champion a security-first mindset across teams, even without being a deep technical security expert.
- Implement and maintain modern security protocols, compliance practices, and risk management standards.
Customer Engagement & Advocacy
- Be the face of technology for key customers and partners; communicate technical solutions in clear, business-aligned terms.
- Translate customer feedback into technical improvements or product innovation.
- Represent the company's tech vision externally at events, panels, or industry forums as needed.
Team Leadership & Culture Building
- Lead, coach, and inspire a high-performing team of engineering and product leaders.
- Develop succession plans and grow internal talent to scale with the company.
Organizational Scalability & Internal Optimization
- Identify inefficiencies across systems, tools, and workflows; propose and implement improvements.
- Create clear KPIs, dashboards, and feedback loops to measure technology performance and accountability.
Innovation & Future-Readiness
- Maintain a pulse on emerging technologies and how they can be practically applied to strengthen our offerings.
- Lead or sponsor internal innovation initiatives that keep the company on the cutting edge.
Cloud Infrastructure and DevOps Leadership
- Oversee and optimize all aspects of cloud infrastructure, ensuring performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Build and scale a DevOps culture focused on automation, rapid deployment, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD).

Requirements
- 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in technology roles, with a proven track record in both product and infrastructure oversight.
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Prior work in a fintech, SaaS, or regulated industry (e.g., banking).
- Demonstrated success in scaling cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices in a high-growth or enterprise environment.
- Background in software development, with strong foundational understanding of architecture, deployment, and lifecycle management.
- Experience with enterprise transformation, leading technology modernization or product platform shifts under complex conditions.
- Experience engaging directly with customers, partners, and executive stakeholders in a hands-on, solution-oriented way.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-oriented language.
- Inspirational team leader with experience managing multidisciplinary teams across engineering, product, and infrastructure.
- Demonstrated experience with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and the ability to strategically leverage cloud infrastructure for internal operations and customer-facing platforms.
- Deep understanding of API architecture and productization, and how APIs enable ecosystem growth and scalability.
- Extensive industry knowledge with a strong grasp of current and future trends in fintech, banking, and technology.
- Knowledge of and enthusiasm for the Open Banking movement in Canada, with a clear understanding of how to align technology strategy to support regulatory and market-driven changes.
- Proven ability to evaluate, implement, and drive innovation through emerging technologies, particularly in AI, data analytics, and intelligent automation.
- Experience cultivating stakeholder relationships, building trust, and extending business networks across the software and financial ecosystems.
