(ASD-W) - EST- Resource Specialist Reassignment - Assessment and Intervention Positions - 4 positions - 2025-2026

Positions are available for the 2025-2026 school year to B Contract Teachers in ASD-W:
ASD-W reassignment positions follow a District model and will have them supporting educators and schools within designated geographic regions. The Education Support Services schedules will be developed under the direction of District ESS Subject Coordinator Teams and in consultation with the Director of Education Support Services.
EST- Resource Specialist -Assessment and Intervention – August 2025 – June 2026
Description:
The successful candidate has had specialist training in the role of Resource Specialist in Assessment and Intervention (RSAI). Reporting to the Director of Education Support Services (or designate), the Resource Specialist in Assessment and Intervention (RSAI) will offer supports to school-based ESS teams, including training and coaching. When needed, the RSAI will conduct more advanced assessments to support collaborative planning for interventions. They will be expected to remain up to date on current research regarding best -practices.
Areas of Responsibility:
• Work collaboratively with school ESS teams to help them plan effective and timely interventions following the Response to Interventions (RTI) model
• Offer training and coaching to school teams in order to develop their capacity to prioritize, organize and keep track of interventions
• Offer training and coaching in effective interventions and the use of pedagogical supports
• Conduct advanced standardized assessments directly with students to get a clearer picture of the student's learning strengths and needs
• Collaborate as a team of specialists across school districts in order to share best practices, review cases and ensure consistency of approach across the province
• Participate in ongoing training and professional learning to remain current in their certification
• Collaborate with other ESS Leads to provide PL to ESS Teams
• Respond and support schools through the Request for Service process using evidence-based interventions
Qualifications and Experience:
• Master's degree (Exceptionalities or Equivalent)
• Minimum of 5 years successful Resource experience In NB schools
• Process a NB teaching contract
• Successful completion of the Resource Specialist ln Assessment and Intervention (RSA1) EECD training.
• Demonstrated experience conducting level B assessments.
• Team player with strong communication skills, a positive attitude, solution-based and proactive approach
• Demonstrate resilience with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
• Extensive travel is required to support personnel and team initiatives throughout ASD-W
• Qualifications must be clearly documented in a resume
Asset Qualifications:
• Experience in a leadership role
• Experience in collaborating with families, school teams and partner agencies
