Burchell Wickwire Bryson LLP is currently recruiting for an Associate Lawyer to join the firm's Corporate & Commercial Transactions, Real Estate, and Wills, Estates & Trusts groups.

This is a full-time, permanent position and is based in BWB's new office space at 1801 Hollis Street in Halifax, NS.
The Opportunity:

As an Associate Lawyer within BWB's Corporate & Commercial Transactions, Real Estate, and Wills, Estates & Trusts groups, the successful candidate will work on a variety of transactional-related legal matters.

In particular, our new Associate Lawyer's responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Advising and supporting clients on various corporate legal matters, related to business structuring, incorporations, financings, mergers & acquisitions, and other general corporate matters;
  • Handling residential and commercial real estate transactions from start to close;
  • Supporting clients with a variety of probate, and estate planning & administration matters;
  • Drafting and reviewing various legal documents related to corporate, real estate, and wills, estates & trusts;
  • Conducting legal research, and staying up to date on all relevant legislation;
  • Working with other lawyers to develop effective legal strategies to ensure clients' needs are not only met, but also exceeded with every interaction; and,
  • Collaborating with other members of the firm to ensure practice management requirements, including but not limited to proper client communication, file management, and time & billing practices, are completed to the firm's standards.

The Ideal Candidate:

If you are a highly motivated and organized lawyer with a commitment to providing a top-tier client service experience and practicing in the areas of corporate & commercial transactions, real estate, and/or wills, estates & trusts, we want to hear from you!

All candidates must be a member in good standing with a Canadian law society with the ability to obtain practicing status in Nova Scotia.
