Position Summary
The Automation Control Analyst, Digital Applications is responsible for verifying the functional behavior of our Digital applications, adherence to design specifications, and maintaining data integrity. You will use your effective communication style and background to work with a variety of audiences to follow this team to excellence as we enhance our agile testing capability through reusable test suites and cases

This role can be remote within New Brunswick, with required ability to join the team in-office in Moncton, NB several times per year for training, meetings, events, etc.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the team to understand solution scope and vision for assigned projects
  • Work with the team to identify and capture test cases ensuring proper test coverage
  • Identify and coordinate creation of test data
  • Design, develop, and execute automated tests to ensure functionality
  • Log system defects and participate in defect triage
  • Perform ad-hoc and exploratory testing along with execution of scripted scenarios
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of defects to ensure data quality
  • Act as a test subject matter expert for solution and functional areas within assigned projects
  • Communicate and collaborate with peers involving other IT staff
  • Deliver solutions with a high degree of quality and high levels of test coverage

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Diploma or University degree in Information Technology or business administration or an equivalent combination of education and applicable experience
  • Work Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience designing test cases and testing software
  • Technical Skills:
    • Minimum of 2 years experience working with UI and REST API Automation tools, JavaScript, TypeScript
    • Experience in YAML would be an asset
    • Defect management tools (JIRA), Test case management tools (ALM), SQL skills
  • Other Skills & Qualifications:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Self-directed with a high level of personal accountability and responsibility
    • Superior interpersonal and communication skills; encourages collaboration and quickly finds common ground to resolve issues
    • Customer oriented and focused on delivering high value innovative solutions.
    • Development experience, familiarity with mobile application testing and knowledge of Agile development processes would be an asset
  • Language Skills: Competence in English is essential. Bilingualism is considered an asset.

Security Clearance Requirement: In conjunction with our contract with the Federal Government, you will be required to have Reliability Status Clearance (Enhanced Level B). This includes Fingerprinting, Criminal Record Check, Credit Check and you must have resided in Canada for at least 5 years and hold Permanent Resident or Citizenship Status.
