JOB SUMMARY :
Reporting to the Dietitian Manager of Food and Nutrition Services, Zone 6, the incumbent of this temporary position will support the day-to-day management of the department's operations in the three Acadian Peninsula facilities (Tracadie, Caraquet and Lamèque) by ensuring the smooth running of activities outside the dietetics field of practice. The assistant manager will work closely with the field teams to optimize food services delivery and ensure that quality, safety and operational efficiency standards are met. The incumbent will be required to supervise employees physically working in other facilities. As part of their duties, they will have to travel within their region.
REQUIREMENTS :
- University degree or college diploma in food service management, administration, operations management, or other relevant training (equivalent training or experience may be considered)
- Three years' relevant work experience, ideally in supervision or team management in a food services environment or in an institutional or hospital setting
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
- Proven supervisory or personnel management skills
- Transformational leadership: ability to mobilize teams, inspire change and foster a positive, collaborative work climate
- Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Ability to work with common software, such as the Microsoft 365 suite – knowledge of other software such as Meditech and Kronos, an asset
- Knowledge of software for menu management or food services management (e.g., Micro Gesta), an asset
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations, an asset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Physical ability to perform the assigned work;
- Good work history (performance and attendance);
- Adherence to professional ethical principles, the Network's management philosophy, and organizational values;
- Compliance with the rules of confidentiality set by Vitalité Health Network.
NOTE:
- The successful candidate will be called upon to work in other facilities in the zone.
- Position to be reviewed by the Part III Classification Committee.
