The Role

This position will be responsible for the design, development, and support of Automation Services within Wyndham's Digital Employee Experience and Automation group. The position will deliver end-to-end solutions using Robotic Process Automation tools (Power Automate), Smartsheet, and other platforms to support business functions. This role will collaborate closely with business leads to document requirements, translate to design, and develop automation to increase efficiency in different areas and reduce manual work where possible for business processes across systems in Sales, CRM, Finance, and the Office suite of products. This position maintains close working relationships with other DEX team members and the automation team to ensure stability, availability, and the use of best-in-class products. The role requires the ability to be available on call 24/7, as needed, for major system outages, to troubleshoot and resolve issues as quickly as possible by working with vendors and internal teams to reduce impact of issues and tickets on end users.

What you'll do

Develop and maintain requirements and technical design documentation (TDD) for automation processes.

Design, develop, and implement automation solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Platforms, Power BI), Smartsheet, and other automation tools.

Ensure automation solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with best practices.

Troubleshoot and resolve automation issues, ensuring minimal business disruption.

Comply with and help to enforce design and coding standards, policies, and procedures set by Wyndham Automation CoE.

Work collaboratively with internal IT and business teams during the product testing and UAT phases to fix assigned bugs with quality.

Report status, issues and risks to senior management on a regular basis.

Integrate automation solutions with enterprise applications such as Salesforce, MS Office, Oracle EBS, Smartsheet, and other business-critical systems.

Experience working in a complex IT system environment, preferably in the services sector.

Ability to think outside the box when needed to solve problems, resolve tickets, and build enhancements.

Required Qualifications/Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in automation development and integration.

Strong expertise in Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Automation Anywhere, Power BI).

Hands-on experience with Smartsheet automation capabilities, including API integrations.

Experience integrating automation solutions with Salesforce, Oracle, MS Office, and other enterprise applications.

Proficiency in scripting and low-code/no-code development methodologies.

Solid understanding of data flow, process automation, and workflow optimization.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Strong attention to detail and demonstrate a customer-centric approach.

Experience with product support, maintenance, SLA measurement, and reporting metrics to monitor and improve.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
