What you will do

Reporting to the Sign Shop Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • providing leadership, guidance, and support to employees, while ensuring effective teamwork and performance;
  • purchasing, ordering, receiving, storing, inspecting, controlling, issuing, and returning stock or inventory;
  • ensuring appropriate stock and inventory levels are maintained;
  • maintaining records and budgets;
  • managing guiderail straightening, cutting sign posts, and extruded sign panel tasks;
  • responding to inquires from clients and vendors;
  • managing DTI fuel site and general custodial care of the stockroom and storage yard;
  • ensuring equipment is properly maintained.

Work environment:

  • Office location: 119 Currie Avenue, Fredericton
  • Standard hours of work: Monday – Friday.
  • Work occasionally on holidays, weekends, and/or variable hours.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Graduation from high school or GED and a minimum of six (6) years of experience working in a stockroom/warehouse environment with at least one (1) year of supervisory experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, as well as experience with inventory system software.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license as issued by the Province of New Brunswick.

An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

Written and spoken competence in English is required. Please state your language capability.

SALARY:

Storekeeper II: $31.43 per hour, based on a 40- hour week.
