Reporting to the Sales Manager, Public Safety and Instant Communications, the Account Executive role is an integral component in driving Bell Business Markets' Radio and Instant Communications (IC) portfolio of products. You will be part of a national quota carrying team selling into Government, Commercial and Public Safety markets by promoting the Radio and IC suite of services and products to Bell's existing base, as well as hunting for net new logos. This role carries the dual responsibility of Acquisition and Upsell/Cross-Selling into the assigned account base.
Key Responsibilities- Prospecting for new opportunities within the Radio and Instant Communication portfolio with a focus on public safety radio and wireless instant communications services in a face-to-face selling role
- Responsible for high risk, complex large accounts, with significant revenue opportunities and/or a strong market share protection mandate
- Responsible for meeting and exceeding established sales objectives through activity-based selling
- Cultivating effective long-term relationships with key influencers and decision makers
- Building customer quotes and proposals with an attention to detail and accuracy
- Preparing and conducting formal group presentations both internally and externally
- Builds account plans based on customer business objectives and future business plans
- Aiding clients in planning their communications and systems integration strategies
- Developing medium and long-term sales strategies
- Maintaining a high degree of competitive and product knowledge including evolving technology trends across the full range of products and services on both a self-initiated and company-initiated basis
- Establish and maintain effective entry barriers to competition through strategic product and personnel positioning within an account
- Anticipate, recognize and overcome roadblocks in the decision-making process by capitalizing on the knowledge of the customer's internal control, power and influence
- Develop internal customer and industry alliances and support
- Support and sell alongside Government, Enterprise and Commercial internal sales channels and Dealer channels as assigned
- Develop, deliver and lead client proposals and presentations including RFP's
- Provide product/service forecasts, competitive intelligence, sales plans
- Maintain customer records, including the initiation and development of new business opportunity identification
- Conducts comprehensive results analysis including wins-losses and uses action plans to update sales strategies
- Develop and document a personal territorial, account and/or sales plan
- Use provided sales tools to maintain and grow the account base
- 3 years+ F2F sales experience in Enterprise and/or Government accounts
- A University degree/technical background or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Have a valid drivers license and willing to travel within your geographic territory
- Proven success in selling complex solutions in a Face-to-Face environment
- Highly proficient PC skills and specific applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce)
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to build strong relationships with peers and customers
- Ability to address & resolve roadblocks impacting the closing of a sale
- Ability to navigate politically within a client's organization
- Ability to analyze and impact a client's business plan
- Ability to influence change in a client's organization and create sales momentum
- Knowledge of emerging technologies and industry trends and the ability to capitalize upon them
- Ability to integrate information technology services and solutions to develop new business opportunities for the client
- Bilingual (English & French) with excellent verbal and written skills. Maintaining professional relationships with French & English-speaking stakeholders across Canada is critical to this position.
- 5 years+ F2F sales experience in Enterprise and/or Government accounts with a view towards Public Safety
- University Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering
- Sales experience and prospecting for opportunities in wireless or wired communications
- Proven technical knowledge and experience plus able to apply technology solutions to business needs
- Two-way radio and/or Telecom sales experience
- Knowledge of Bell wireless radio communication products and services
- Value added applications: Professional Services: Outsourcing, Network Management, Consulting, Systems Integration
- Solution Selling training
- Technical solutions sales experience
