We are currently seeking a Trust Specialist to join our Finance team based in the Firm's Halifax, NS office.

The Opportunity:
We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to oversee and monitor the Firm's daily trust deposits and withdrawals, ensuring all transactions comply with provincial trust regulations.
An integral member of the Firm's Finance team, the Trust Specialist is responsible for investing and managing trust funds in daily interest and term deposit accounts, handling reporting requests from lawyers regarding trust fund activity, and processing various transactions on an electronic payment system.
The successful candidate will address inquiries from banks, lawyers, support staff, and clients, reconcile and maintain Service Nova Scotia Trust transactions, and take ownership of departmental projects as needed.
The ideal applicant will bring knowledge of the Nova Scotia Barristers Society regulations for Trust Accounts or possess the willingness to learn and follow the regulations of the society.
If you have relevant post-secondary education and/or previous experience in accounting or banking, proficiency with Excel and electronic database management, we want to hear from you!
Flexibility to work outside regular hours is required, with overtime available.
