Executive Director of St Joseph's Hospital Foundation

Location: Saint John, NB

Overview

St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation is seeking a dynamic and visionary Executive Director to lead our organization in Saint John, NB. The Executive Director will be responsible for overseeing the Foundation's operations, developing strategic plans, and ensuring the successful execution of fundraising initiatives to support the hospital's mission and goals.

St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation is dedicated to supporting the health and wellness initiatives of St. Joseph's Hospital. Our mission is to raise funds to enhance patient care, purchase medical equipment, and support healthcare programs that benefit the Saint John community.

Responsibilities

Leadership and Management

· Provide inspirational leadership to the Foundation's staff, volunteers, and board members.

· Support the professional development of staff and establish succession planning for key roles within the foundation.

· Develop and implement strategic plans to advance the Foundation's mission and objectives.

· Oversee daily operations and ensure efficient management of resources.

· Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

· Represent the Foundation at community events and public engagements.

Fundraising and Development

· Lead the planning and execution of fundraising campaigns and events.

· Identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors and stakeholders.

· Identify and develop strategic partnerships that align with the Foundation's mission and enhance its impact.

· Ensure the development of compelling fundraising materials and proposals.

· Establish and oversee systems to measure the impact of funded initiatives and communicate outcomes to stakeholders.

· Leverage digital tools, social media, and online platforms to support fundraising and community engagement efforts

· Develop and manage the Foundation's budget and financial plans.

Communication and Public Relations

· Serve as the primary spokesperson for the Foundation.

· Enhance the Foundation's visibility and public image.

· Develop and implement communication strategies to engage the community.

· Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets.

· Prepare and deliver presentations to various audiences.

Board Governance

· Work closely with the Board of Directors to develop and implement policies.

· Provide regular reports and updates to the Board.

· Assist in the recruitment and orientation of new board members.

· Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.

· Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in nonprofit management, fundraising, or a related area.

· Proven track record of successful fundraising and development initiatives.

· Experience in healthcare or hospital foundations is an asset.

Compensation

The compensation package for the Executive Director will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. It includes a competitive salary and benefits.
