Service New Brunswick is seeking an individual to join the Laundry and Linen Services branch within the Health Services Division as a Student Engineer at the Saint John Laundry Plant in Lorneville.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the successful student will be responsible for assisting in the completion of various ongoing projects throughout the plant, while maintaining a clean and safe work area, and adhering to the corporate policies and procedures of SNB.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Written and spoken competence in English is required.
• Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Engineering program, with a specialization in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Persuasive and effective communication with solid presentation skills
• Thrives in a team-based environment
• Proficient in MS Office
• Able to assist manager in parts, organizing project completions.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS: Preference may be given to candidates who demonstrate the following asset qualifications:

• Ability to read and understand construction drawings would be considered a strong asset

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Rotating days, Evenings, Nights, Weekend, and Statutory Holidays.
• Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.

Hourly Rate: $19.56 - $26.87 hourly – Student Hourly Rates of Pay 2025 – Engineering Students
